$27.75

When we woke up this morning, we saw this:

This picture doesn't really do justice to what we are experiencing here in East Tennessee today. Rain. More rain. MUCH more rain. Being the dedicated yard sellers we are, we were determined to hit an annual neighborhood sale here in our town. Despite the torrential downpours we had, we came away with a few bargains!

$7.50 - Eight pairs of shorts, three shirts, a Tennessee hat and a sweater vest for B. I usually do better on clothes for him at this neighborhood sale, but the rain kept a lot of people from having a sale.

I didn't get a shot of the hat in the picture above because a certain toddler already had it on his head!

$5.00 - Six shirts for hubby. We scored this really nice Rockwood Tigers sweatshirt for him for $0.50! We've been going to some of their football games recently, so this was quite a find!

$3.50 - Two shirts, two scarves, a pair of Nine West shoes and a super cute skirt for me! Woo hoo!!

$0.50 - An assortment of gift bags. These are always useful, and I hate paying retail price for them. Most of them are Christmas bags, but a few will work for any occasion.

$7.00 - A lamp for C's room and three fish decorations for B's bathroom.

$4.25 - A handy Tupperware container, two candles (both brand new!), a candy thermometer, a coloring book, number flash cards and a picture collage that holds six pictures. One of the candles is a Christmas candle and the other one is from Kirkland's!

Fall is in the air. Football season is in full swing. Yard sale season will soon be coming to an end. Sigh...

$32.75

We were up at 6:30 this morning getting ready to head out to yard sales. Hubby said we probably should have stayed in bed! We didn't do great, but not terrible either. We hit four neighborhood sales in the big city, though, so I was expecting awesome deals. Oh, well - hopefully we'll have better luck next week at the annual neighborhood sale! On to our deals for this week!

$14.00 - A ton a clothes for me! I got three Old Navy collared pull-overs, a Ralph Lauren collared pull-over, two Limited short sleeved shirts, a Banana Republic long sleeved shirt, a pair of Limited blue jeans and two cute skirts. All for $14.00!! I love ritzy neighborhoods when they have clothes in my size for cheap!

$4.00 - A brand new Chicago Cubs t-shirt for B. Okay, this one was a splurge, more than I usually spend, but we have been looking at these online and they are $13.00 new.

$4.00 - Two stay-cold bowls and two barely used candles. I love candles and I really love them when I get them for next to nothing!

$1.75 - Two cookbooks and a basket of golf tees for hubby. The basket also had a golf ball in it. There are really cool tees, too. Hubby was happy!

$3.00 - A Kolcraft stroller for B. I have a stroller this size that I use when we go yard saling, but the wheels were really out of whack and hard to turn. I scored this like new one for $3.00!

$6.00 - A Little Tykes tunnel and a Hop-a-Roo for B. He'll have a lot of fun with both of these!

$33.70

Tomorrow is Ladies Day at our church and I won't be able to go yard "sale"ing, so Mom and I decided to go today instead to get our weekly fix! I thought I'd share my deals for the day! We went to a neighborhood sale in our town and then headed to the big city and hit some up there.

$9.00 - Three shirts for hubby. One is Gap, the other two are Izod. Nice brand name clothes, bargain prices!

$2.25 - Four candles. The orange one in the middle has never been used! One is almost 1/2 used and the other two are barely used. They have good life left in them!

$2.75 - A trash can for C's room, a size 4T pair of short overalls from Old Navy for B (hey, he'll grow into them!), a pair of Naturalizer shoes and three packs of blank note cards.

$2.20 - Tons of books for B. I even got a couple of teaching books to get ideas from for when he gets older.

$2.50 - A small Little Tykes tool bench, a Fisher Price car that makes noise, a sand bucket and a huge bag of HUGE blocks for B.

$15.00 - A 5-gallon bucket FULL of golf balls for hubby. And I got the bucket, too! :-)
I hope to make this a weekly post with all my good deals. I got the idea from Raechel at http://www.raechelmyers.blogspot.com/. Hop on over to her blog and check her out!
